WHAT IF I AM NOT CREATIVE ENOUGH TO WORK WITH YOU?
Don't worry, you are! The fact that you are this interested in what is on this site is proof that it's meaningful to you. Also, people are more creative than they think they are;)
Before starting
DO I NEED THERAPY?
Only if you want it! Therapy can be useful to help you build an understanding of what is troubling you, figure out what to do about it, and get your life to a place that feels peaceful and fulfilling.

DO I HAVE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL CREATOR TO WORK WITH YOU?
No, I work with people who find the arts to be a meaningful expressive tool.
I HAVE A DIFFERENT CREATIVE MODALITY THAN YOU, WILL IT STILL WORK?
Absolutely! Different artistic modalities are all using the same creative tools: dancers have stillness, artists have negative space, actors have silence, musicians have rests, writers have breaks, storytellers have pauses...
We can start with my strengths to get things going, but the goal is to help you use your own modality to support emotional connection.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THERAPY TO START WORKING?
If I am the right fit for you, you will start to feel the relief that comes from being understood and supported after the first appointment. You will have some hard work ahead of you, but you wont be doing it alone!
HOW OFTEN WILL I HAVE APPOINTMENTS?
When you start therapy, expect to schedule weekly appointments. This helps us build an understanding of the intricacies of your situation, and start creating changes.
As you start to feel better and more confident navigating through things on your own, you will need more time between appointments. At that point, we phase back to twice a month, then once a month sessions. Eventually, you will start doing so well that you have nothing to unpack in appointments!

HOW LONG WILL I BE IN THERAPY?
That is up to you! You can stay in therapy as long as you feel like you are experiencing a benefit.
Depending on our unique situation and needs, therapy can last a few months to a few years.
I will check in with you every few months to see if you feel like you are improving.

What should I wear?
Please, be comfortable! Soft, stretchy or loose things are great.
Layers are wonderful. It is remarkable how internal temperature fluctuates when going between anxious and calm states.

Fees
CAN I USE INSURANCE?
I am an out of network provider, and all appointments are private pay.
I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance, if they provide you with reimbursement for out of network therapy.
If you see an in-network talk therapist, you can join my workshops for additional creative support.

WHAT PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept cash, check, and sometimes Venmo.
Payment is due at the time of your appointment.

What does my Fee Cover?
You will have a 60min appointment with me. I also spend time between your appointments reflecting on what you shared and preparing for how to support you in your upcoming appointment.
Individual Appointment are too expensive for me
You can work with a therapist who is in network with your insurance, and supplement your creative support with my workshops.
