Before Starting
DO I NEED THERAPY?
Only if you want it! Therapy can help you build an understanding of what is troubling you, figure out what to do about it, and get your life to a place that feels peaceful and fulfilling.

DO I HAVE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL Creative TO WORK WITH YOU?
No, I work with people who find the arts to be a meaningful expressive tool.
I HAVE A DIFFERENT CREATIVE MODALITY THAN YOU, WILL IT STILL WORK?
Absolutely! Different artistic modalities use the same creative tools, for example:
dancers/stillness, artists/negative space, actors/silence, musicians/rests, writers/breaks, storytellers/pauses...

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THERAPY TO START WORKING?
If I am the right fit for you, you will start to feel the relief that comes from being understood and supported after the first appointment.
HOW OFTEN WILL I HAVE APPOINTMENTS?
Plan to schedule weekly appointments. This helps us build an understanding of the intricacies of your situation and start creating changes.
As you feel more confident navigating things on your own, we phase back to twice a month, then once a month. Eventually, you will start doing so well that you have nothing to unpack in appointments!

HOW LONG WILL I BE IN THERAPY?
You can stay in therapy as long as you are experiencing a benefit.
Depending on our unique situation, therapy can last a few months to a few years.
I will check in with you every few months to see if you feel like you are improving.

What should I wear?
Please, be comfortable! Soft, stretchy, or loose clothing is great.
Layers are convenient -- It is remarkable how internal temperature fluctuates when going between anxious and calm states.

Fees
WHAT PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
I accept cash, check, credit card, and sometimes Venmo.

WHAT DOES MY FEE COVER?
You will have a 60min appointment with me. I also spend time between your appointments reflecting on what you shared and preparing for how to support you in your upcoming appointment.
I am using insurance
Before your first session, please check with your insurance company to confirm I am in network and check on your copayment/deductible. I cannot always confirm this with all insurance companies ahead of time, and it is good for you to know what to expect.
